I have been married to a Tica for 32 years, so I don’t have to convince her that this country is the best choice for a place to live. But I have probably moved several thousand couples to the Switzerland of Central America since the 1980s, so convincing your spouse to move to Costa Rica is easier than you think. Let’s give it a shot and see if it functions. If it doesn’t write me an email and I’ll see if I can share some more secrets
1. We can afford a housekeeper.
Honey, you and I don’t ever have to clean our house again. She can do all the house cleaning, making the beds, doing the laundry, and anything else we hate doing. Now we’ll have much more time to do everything we enjoy so much. It’s going to be a life of zero pressure on us.
2. Promise to stay faithful.
I have always been a very faithful spouse, but Costa Rica is famous for its beautiful women. I can’t promise I won’t look at them. But hey, I’ll look at the menu every day, but I’ll eat at home. By the way, you find quite some hunks amongst Ticos and I won’t be jealous as long as you promise to be as faithful as I will be.
3. Let’s explore.
While the housekeeper is working her butt off, we can get ourselves a mountain bike and hit the road. Imagine all those beautiful places we can visit, enjoy the magical views, and stop for a great cup of Costa Rican coffee on the way. We can take long weekends off and hit the hundreds of beaches one at a time. Those beaches are so different from the beaches in Florida.
4. Promise to buy an exceptional property.
We’ll sell our home here in no time and we can take our time searching for the right location to live there. We’ll live wherever you want, the decision is all yours and I’ll accept anything you decide on. Imagine that we’ll be able to afford an exceptional property with the money from our sale here.
